This describes the application code shipped with the Field Guide. Hosting-provider processing is separate from browser-local tools.
Local tools and search
Search runs in your browser against a static index. Calculator entries stay in the current page and are not deliberately uploaded or saved. The session checklist stores checked items and a note in localStorage under a site-specific key. Clearing local progress or browser data removes that saved state.
The checklist export creates a local JSON download. There is no account, cloud synchronization, Steam connection, game-save reader or automatic upload of checklist content.
Images and YouTube
Builds attempt to cache official promotional images and video thumbnails as static site files. A network failure can leave an external image URL from Steam or YouTube’s thumbnail service; those requests expose ordinary connection information to the host.
A YouTube player is created only after you press its play button, using youtube-nocookie.com. That does not make playback anonymous: YouTube still receives requests and may process identifiers or use storage according to its own policies. The direct viewing link opens YouTube instead.
Hosting, logs and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and site usage. Google may use cookies and process browser, device, approximate location and visit information. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our tag. Calculator values and checklist notes are not sent by our analytics code. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy. This website does not have a contact form; email links open your email application. The hosting and delivery provider may process IP addresses, request metadata and security logs. Its actual retention and configuration are controlled by the operator and provider, not by this static page.
External links and contact
Steam, Nexus Mods, YouTube and the maintainer’s profile are separate services with their own practices. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions. Email is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the site operator's Gmail inbox; Cloudflare and Google process those messages to deliver them.
